Pricing by monthly video hours
Your quote is based on the hours of video you stream and upload each month. Tell us how often your boards meet and how much past video you'd like to upload. We'll send you a written quote.
What counts as an hour
We count live streams and uploads by their duration.
- Live hours
- The length of each meeting's public stream, from Go Live to End, counted in the month the meeting ends.
- Upload hours
- The length of each video you upload, counted once, in the month it finishes processing.
- Storage and delivery
- Storage and video delivery are measured separately from video hours. Your written quote sets out the allowances and terms for both.
- An example
- Four two-hour live meetings and a one-hour upload total nine video hours (4 × 2 + 1).
- Past meetings
- Past recordings count in the month they finish processing. Let us know how much video you want to bring over so we can include it in your quote.

Questions
Do viewers count toward our hours?
No. We count the duration of your live meetings and uploaded recordings. Viewer numbers don't change that total.
Does time in the private preview count?
No. A meeting's live hours run from Go Live to End. The preview before it isn't public and isn't counted.
Is captioning extra?
Automatic live and recorded captions, the caption editor and verification are part of Clerkcast. Your staff do the review.
Who sets us up?
We create your organization and first admin account, then help your staff set up channels and connect an encoder. Your IT staff add the DNS records listed in Clerkcast to put the video site on your town's web address.
Can we bring in meetings already on YouTube?
Upload the video files and they join your library with captions and chapters. Clerkcast doesn't import directly from a YouTube channel.
How are we billed?
We send you an invoice. Your quote will set out the terms in writing.
Can we take our video with us?
Yes. We can export your video, captions, documents and records at any time. See Security for what happens at the end of a term.
