When you visit this site

This site doesn't set its own cookies and doesn't use advertising or tracking scripts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you across sites; it reports things like which pages were viewed, the referring site, and the country and kind of browser, in aggregate. The bot check on pages with the contact form is run by Cloudflare and is described below.

When you send the contact form

The form asks for your name, email, organization and, if you choose, your role, your population or district size and a message. We use them only to reply to you and to prepare a demo or quote.

• Bot check. Before the form can be sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is using it. Turnstile runs only on pages with the form and processes information about your browser and connection to do that check, under [Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy terms, to be linked after legal review].
• Delivery. What you submit is sent to our sales inbox by email through Postmark, an email delivery service. We don't store it in a database, and we don't put it in web addresses, browser storage or our logs.
• Rate limiting. To stop abuse, we count form attempts from each network address for one hour. We store a keyed one-way code derived from the address, not the address itself, and delete it after an hour without new attempts.
• Logs. Our logs record only whether a submission was accepted or refused and a random request number.

How long we keep it

Emails from the form are kept in our sales mailbox for [retention period to be set by the product owner]. Postmark keeps delivery records for [Postmark's retention period, to be confirmed].

Clerkcast for towns

Towns that use Clerkcast run their own video sites on their own addresses. How a town's video site handles information is covered by [the product privacy terms, to be supplied], and by the town's own policies.
